During the period of the Second Great Awakening, there had been revival of the Protestant perspectives, concepts and mindsets. There had been religious sentiments transitioning to different denominations of Protestantism like Methodist and Baptist denominations. There had been alcohol which had not been accepted during this period to be legalized and therefore, abolition had been supported. Economic development had been focused to be promoted during the Second Great Awakening. Government action had been emphasized to be effective. Public education had been encouraged to be promoted.
